who's this guy?
Hi there! I’m so glad you’re here.

I’m Carré – a former marketing executive who made the leap from corporate life to focus on something that truly matters to me: resilience.

After decades in senior leadership at a global travel company, I saw firsthand how much stress, uncertainty, and change can impact people's mental health. So I switched gears to build something different. Now, I help organizations and individuals develop and apply simple, powerful tools to handle challenges with more grace, grit, and adaptability.

Mental health is at a critical tipping point with burnout at an all-time high and absenteeism rife. I’ve seen the effects up close. And if you’re a leader who’s paying attention, I'm sure you have too.
The good news is that resilience is a skill that we can all build.

I believe businesses can (and should) play a meaningful role in the solution. Because when people are supported to be mentally healthy at work, they show up better in every other area of their lives, too.
my personal story
I’m an Aussie, born in Tokyo, now living in Canada, and married to an incredible woman from former Yugoslavia.
Travel has shaped so much of my life, both personally and professionally, and gave me the gift of perspective. One of my favourite sayings is "Your perspective can either be a passport or a prison."
My career in marketing was always rooted in problem-solving, which allowed me to see things through the lens of others and craft meaningful solutions. That same mindset now fuels my work in resilience.

I’ve also been incredibly fortunate. I was raised in a home where meditation, breathwork, and emotional awareness were everyday conversations, long before they became mainstream. Those early lessons in wellbeing are part of the foundation for everything I teach today.
Resilient Minds is my way of sharing those tools and perspectives. I do it with honesty, heart, and a whole lot of real-world application.

business experience
I started a marketing career in 2006 in Australia with an entry-level position for a huge travel company based in Brisbane. That foot in the door opened up into a wonderful career, sending me across Australia before I earned the opportunity to move to Vancouver to lead a huge team of amazing marketeers.

Throughout my career, I’ve worked on over a dozen different brands, experienced both B2C and B2B worlds, led teams of up to 29 professionals, managed huge budgets, and had experience working across more than ten international markets.
My favourite part of it all? Working with a diverse group of people to solve challenging problems. It's amazing what you can accomplish with the right people vibing through great culture and leadership.
why resilient minds?
Despite our best intentions to protect the next generation, we’ve unintentionally swung the pendulum too far. By rewarding participation over effort and shielding kids from discomfort, we’ve created a culture that often avoids struggle altogether.
The result? Many young adults are entering the workforce without the inner strength or resilience to manage everyday adversity.
Layer in the rapid evolution of AI, workplace disruption, and relentless performance pressure, and it’s no wonder so many are struggling.
And this struggle is real. Mental health statistics across the Western world are alarming, and climbing.

Consider this:
-
77% of U.S. employees have experienced burnout at their current job
-
Gen Z and Millennials are reporting peak burnout by age 25
-
Burnout costs businesses $322 billion annually in lost productivity
-
62% of nurses experience at least one symptom of burnout, making healthcare the hardest-hit sector

Here’s the truth: some people are just barely holding it together. And many don’t even know where to begin to make it better.

But building a resilient mind doesn’t have to be complicated.
There are simple, practical tools that truly make a difference, and I deliver them through resilience training workshops, keynotes, team cohorts, and 1:1 facilitation.
I want to be clear: I’m not a psychologist. I’m not a doctor. I’m a regular guy who has spent over a decade learning, practicing, and teaching strategies for resilience, and I’ve leaned on them personally through anxiety, burnout, and some really tough days.

I know these tools work. Because I also know the days I don’t use them - that's when I feel more irritable, less focused, low on energy, and stuck in my own head.

Resilience is a practice. It’s learnable. And it starts with small, intentional actions that anyone can take.
Let’s build resilient minds—together.
